Plan for ChangePlan Your DayUse the "Plan Your Day" pictures below to create a daily schedule with your child.
Color and cut out the appropriate pictures. Then, paste them down one side of a large piece of poster board in the correct sequence. Label the column “To Do.” Add words or other pictures within the sequence to show your child’s actual schedule. Make a ChecklistNext to this column of pictures, draw lines for five more columns, labeled Monday through Friday. After an activity has occurred, have your child put a large checkmark in the correct column across from the picture. Your chart will look something like this.
Talking about the schedule and checking off items on the list will help your child feel more in control of the daily routine.
